When set to medium or high, the buzzing isn't noticeable, but on low it could become a bit annoying if you focus on it. If your intention is to use this unit for white noise -- such as when sleeping -- you'll want it set to medium or above. I live with my four - Furry Kids ( 1 German Shepherd Dog, 1 American Bulldog, and 2 Yorkies) and I can come home and turn on the Purifier and feel as it cleanses the air of Animal Fur and Pollen. I suffer from sporadic Asthma and my Doctor recommended that I buy an Air Purifier. It provides my room with clean air that is necessary after 4 dogs. I love that I can leave it running all night and It is virtually quiet. The Febreze scent doesn't seem to work but this i don't mind since I want clean non smelling air. I buy the filters and replace after 2-3 months, it has a sensor that helps you with this. I would recommend to have this product in every room if your house, especially if you have children and family with Asthma. The best news is that after 2 months of having it, I have not had any breathing symptoms.
