It is so easy to get thermal paste off of a heatsink, I just put a few drops of bottle one, gently wiped with a microfiber cloth, and most of the thermal compound was gone. Sometimes, I had to put another few drops on and wipe again, but most of the time once was enough. I would then put a few drops of the second bottle, and it would prepare the surface for applying thermal paste, leaving the copper base of my heatsink nice and shiny. Using Arcticlean helped shave nearly 10 degrees off of my CPU temperature, which is great. Plus, it has a nice lemony smell. 

It works and I have no complaints Used this once and it seems to thoroughly clean the surface of the CPU. I am concerned about the toxicity and would recommend using gloves which I had conveniently available. There were no fumes of any kind that I can recall which is a plus since I would normally use a high percentage of isopropyl alcohol product as an alternative. The only suggestion I would make is if there was a way for this product to help the thermal paste spread evenly shortly after it is used. I don't think there is a claim that it will do that. This would deserve 5 start is I thought it did a little more than simply clean away the old thermal goop left over when re-installing a cpu.

I Couldn't Believe My Eyes Bought it so I can ditch the poor quality thermal paste in my brand new PS4 right out of the box. I normally use rubbing alcohol but I thought I would give this a try. All I can say is that I will NEVER use rubbing alcohol again after using this. I literally watched the thermal paste break down, and when I rubbed it ever so gently, it just came right off. I REALLY had to blink a few times. Once it was nice and shiny, I used the number 2 bottle which is the purifier which readies the surface for new thermal paste. I'm EXTREMELY pleased with this product. You only need 1 or 2 drops of each one so expect these bottles to last a VERY LONG TIME.
