The air purifier has 4 stages of filtration and 4 speeds. The UV filter, and ion filter are separately controllable with individual power buttons on the top. If you visit the cheaper filters which of course are the number one and two seller here on Amazon, the cheapest one emits ozone, and the more expensive one that is the number two seller does not. There are warnings for those who have lung conditions to not breathe ozone. I looked like crazy to find out if this Frigidaire model has ozone emissions but there is nothing on the subject.
