Universal Cut-to-Fit activated carbon pre-filter, fits all Filter Queen room air cleaners that require a pre-filter. It also helps remove large particles and reduces common household odors such as cooking odors, tobacco smoke odors, pet odors, musty odors, etc. This is a large 15-3/4 x 48 cut-to-fit activated carbon sheet and makes 1 to 6 pre-filters depending on the model. For optimum performance, replace pre-filter every 2 to 3 months.
RETURN BUYER** Great Buy on; Cut to Fit Carbon pre-filter!!
You truly can't go wrong if your looking to buy a quality carbon filter for your air cleaner, vacuum etc.. I've priced these filters several places and this is the cheapest I've been able to find them (here on Amazon)!! I have a couple of air cleaners that every few months I replace the pre-filter and to buy the already pre-cut filter that fits my device costs more to buy one filter compare to buying this large piece that allows me to cut my own, save money and I get more (win-win for me :)!! Another thing I did was cut a piece of this filter and placed one on each of my heater vents (forced air/floor grates) and I really believe it's cut back on dust and also dirt and dust going down into my heating ducts!! Can't say enough about the price and quality!!
Using this in an old Alpine Aire unit.
I'm using this in an old Alpine Aire unit. The unit had a thick carbon filter that was long past the point of being usable. It started to fall apart when I was blowing it out so I bought this hoping it wouldn't be too 'dense' for the unit to suck air through. I used 3 layers of it sandwiched together in the original filter frame and it pulls air through it just fine. I ordered two of these and I probably have enough to redo this filter for several years to come.
