Using this in an old Alpine Aire unit. I'm using this in an old Alpine Aire unit. The unit had a thick carbon filter that was long past the point of being usable. It started to fall apart when I was blowing it out so I bought this hoping it wouldn't be too 'dense' for the unit to suck air through. I used 3 layers of it sandwiched together in the original filter frame and it pulls air through it just fine. I ordered two of these and I probably have enough to redo this filter for several years to come.
