Okay here is the deal with this product it is a real HEPA filter. Beware of products that use HEPA-Type filters. I've had this product for years and in my experience it really only helps with dust and odors. When it is pollen season and everyone is dying and you close yourself in a small/medium room and turn this product on and you are still dying? That tells me it doesn't work and yes I've cleaned my filter. Apparently the permanent hepa filter that removes (as per my product box) 99.97% of airborne contaminants isn't enough. It needs to be 100% or closer to it!
