The design is simple and it seems to do the job. The light comes on instantly with the electronic ballast. My old light took > 10s to pop on. The 3" hole required for mounting seemed quite large, but once installed it seals well. Lamp changes should be simple, although there is a lot of weight hanging on that lamp bracket. Time will tell how it holds up. One complaint: Although specifically mentioned in the instruction manual and shown in the installation video, there is no lamp "peep hole" inspection window on my unit. When an inquiry sent to the manufacturer went unanswered, I had to rig up an inspection port using parts from my old system. Would have appreciated a response from them.
