Climbed up in the attic and crawled over and around and through piles of insulation until I found the housing. Switching it out took forever working in the dark and breathing yellow fibers. The already hated pop-corn ceiling got messed up while trying to take out the old housing, and had to be repaired. Not a fun job. Now the heater in the spare bathroom went out.This time I looked around and found out you can replace just the heater motor unit, and it only requires one screw to be taken out, old heater comes out, new unit goes in, and screw goes back in. Job was finished in less than 2 mins., and I didn't have to climb in the attic. Could not have been easier. And it was a lot cheaper than replacing the whole unit. Wish I had know about this before.
