Designed by AFB in the USA., please see: poor quality Chinese knock off Over the last couple years I have bought over a dozen of these filters, some were real Honeywell replacements some were after market, this one is the worst one I have seen, the aluminum cage is more like tinsel, mashed and torn edges, main seam half connected, inside diameter is on the small side, the filter material seems real cheap and flimsy I will be surprised if it last more than 2 or 3 rinsings. The only thing Honeywell about this is the little sticker that comes on the plastic bag that it arrives in. I would classify these as cheap Chinese junk
