Raised the humidity by 10% in only 30 minutes; the OEM, when new, did the same, then the effectiveness dropped off considerably. One suggestion, clean your humidifier thoroughly before putting this in. I wiped mine down with just water and it looked like new, but I should have used vinegar, diluted bleach or a humidifier cleaner. I skipped this step thinking it looked clean using just water, but it put out an odor never-the-less. You will not save any time skipping this step, even if it looks clean, it is not, and had to pull it all apart to clean it again with diluted bleach.
