My son has asthma that is triggered by pollen, we have 2 dogs that shed, and we recently discovered mold in my basement. I have used air purifiers in the past but they never seemed to work well. This Prolux Enfinity air purifier is the most effective one I have used yet. The motor on this is very quiet even when it is running at full power. There are two operating modes, smart mode and manual mode. Smart mode automatically turns on the purifier when the air is dirty and automatically turns it off when it senses the air is clean. Also in smart mode, when the room becomes dark, it will automatically enter sleep mode where the LCD lights turn off and the fan speed slows. When the room gets bright again the purifier goes back to its full cleaning mode. Manual mode allows me to set it to run for how ever long I want. I keep this on smart mode all the time so that I know it will clean the air when it senses...

A great piece of advanced technology. I recently received this item and it is amazing. The technology is really incredible. I have several air purifiers and this is the largest of all of them. I really like having an air purifier for cleaning the air during all seasons. It is surprisingly quiet for its size, in fact so much so that in the lowest setting it can barely be heard...I've actually thought it may not be on. I find the highest setting very tolerable for noise as well and it works well as a white noise machine in our bedroom when guests are in our home. I haven't has this product for very long, so I'm not sure how often the filter will need cleaned for our homes conditions, however, can say that accessing the filter is very easy and convenient. This is a very nice item. It is well made, sturdy, and blends in well with the room.
