Unfortunately there was no indication of how fine the mesh of the foam porosity is and it's not as fine as I had in my previous filter. I would like to find this foam in a finer porosity but am not able to easily contact the supplier. I believe porosity is specified in an xx per inch rating and it would have been helpful if it was included in the description. Perhaps using multiple layers of this foam may improve it's filter ability but it won't be as effective as a finer foam.
