This is a very good product. The Germguardian or Idylsis (Sold by Lowes) ... This is a very good product. The Germguardian or Idylsis (Sold by Lowes) OEM filters are $37-39. I purchased this to see how it compares as it is only $25. It is a high quality HEPA pleated filter with a carbon filter on the front just like the OEM filter. It has a gasket on the front to prevent air from leaking past the filter like the OEM filter. I am going to try this for a few months and then purchase more if I see no issues. I can not see any way that this filter will not perform as well as the OEM filter. I am an engineer and this seems like a comparable / equivalent product. I did notice that when I first installed the filter the casing was a little hard to snap back in. You need to press on the filter just a little to compress the gasket. This happened when I purchased a new filter from Lowes a few months ago as well.
