When we put him to bed, we set the air purifier to the 8 hour setting to last him through the night and we don't have to worry about running it unnecessarily when we're not at home. We also chose to go with this because the media can vacuumed/cleaned periodically. I prefer this over the other, more expensive models, where the replacement HEPA filters can cost a 1/3 to 1/2 the cost of the machine itself.
