It is so new that it's only available in select stores and also Amazon.com. The filter is remarkable and I noticed a difference in the air soon after installing it and running the air conditioning. We often have a musty basement odor and this did make a large improvement! Practically gone. It is higher priced than a usual filter but I figure that a $30 that lasts for 3 months = $10 a month. People easily spend more money than that a month in pricey Starbucks coffees! The filter is constructed with a high number of pleats so with all that total surface area of the filtering media there should be no problem with fan blower load (just be dilligent about regular changing). Quite well made with metal supporting wires on both sides instead of one. I will certainly continue to buy this filter |
