Noisy motor/fan fluctuates, same as other reviews Planning on returning as it's much too noisy for a $270 unit, noise from the motor is very irritating. Even on low it makes a whining/pitched sound and constantly pulses, never a steady fan noise. It seems the power to the unit dips up and down as the PlasmaWave fades off and on, a very poor design. Seems to filter air well, although the filter could fit better as it leaves gaps around the sides, just a cheap fan motor and design. I have a Blue air which is practically silent unless on hi, much better, but was $400. I'll be looking into some higher priced units, and had really hoped for more from this, but it's clearly cheap. It might be tolerable if the fan would just stay one pitch, but again it's sort of a higher pitch, just not what you want to hear all day.
