We have had problems in the past with cardboard filters not coming out of the air handler intact, maybe there is a screw or something they get caught on not sure but we have no problem with these. We live out in the country in farming area and we have a lot of dust , we also have 5 indoor animals so we have a lot of animal fur also. We do change this filter more frequently then it states more like every 6 weeks rather than every 8 weeks. We will continue to purchase these as they do a wonderful job for us.
