I paid $450. It's a bit pricey, but I didn't want an ugly thing sitting in the corner of our bedroom. It is very sleek looking and the top menu/display is very cool. We live in the midwest in a 1960's house that has been fully renovated - new windows and mechanicals, but we have no air filtration system other than the furnace filter. I have allergies and asthma that keep me with a stuffy nose pretty much all year long and severe allergies in the spring and fall. During those seasonal times, my husband and I would wake up miserable. After purchasing this unit, we run it at night on night mode only during warmer months and during the winter months we leave it on all day during auto and switch to night mode at night - with the bedroom door closed. I have not tried an air filter or humidifier in our room before, so I have no way of comparing but this unit has virtually eliminated our misery. If I forget to turn it on or... |

As apposed to the ROBERT, 1 in take on the upper back and only 1 out put on the lower bottom of 1 side only. This makes it harder to place this model anywhere in a room for complete coverage. |
