I gave this unit 2 stars which some may say is harsh, but it still has some potential if the manufacturer would fix some of its flaws. Let's start with the good : 1) Nice styling and it is not big and clunky 2) The price is very appealing ( I have seen these on sale for as low as 79.99) 3) Has a remote and very quiet operation ( does not disturb on the lowest setting) 4) No ozone generated ( very important ) Now and more importantly let's look at the bad or what needs attention from Homedics: 1) The Hepa filter included is not an authentic Hepa certified filter. Notice how it says 99% filtration on the box, not the 99.97% required for true hepa. If you need further verification look at the more expensive Homedics purifiers and you will see that they are 99.97% and not the 99% marketed here.
