I bought this for the purpose of removing tobacco smells when we have visitors who smoke stay. Maybe it is just my family but we are very sensitive to the smell of tobacco and have had occasions when people stay that even not smoking in the house, the residual smell on clothing seems to linger in our spare room. I did a heap of research and was convinced short of having an industrial air conditioner installed or asking our visitors to wear biohazard outfits whilst smoking then this was a problem I would just have to learn to deal with. That said the Honeywell HEPA tower did state it would address tobacco particles and so I gave it a go. To my utter shock it completely worked for us and after 2 weeks of a heavy smoker staying with us, no smell residue at all (and there had been before when they stayed). I will say it was a little more noisy than could mean it could be left on during the night, but we politely asked our guest to keep it on...

Great space saver, not the best filtration for it's size. It's a great size and shape for tight spaces, but the filters are small for it's size and price. I've also got one of the circular floor air purifiers from honeywell, which was less expensive and has much more filter surface area.

Excellent air purifier for people with allergies to dust, etc. This air cleaner works great! I placed it in our family room where our ceiling fan would always have tons of dust/lint on the fan blades in a week of operation. After putting this cleaner in the room and cleaning the fan blades, there's still no buildup on the fan blades after 2 weeks of operation. This air cleaner does the job well!
