But the dimensions of these large Filtrete filters are critical and you cannot assume one will fit a normal bracket or plenum because, quite simply, many filter brackets and plenums are not full measure. In the case of this filter when it says it measures 19 3/4" x 24 7/16" x 4 3/16" (50,1 cm x 62.0 cm x 10,6 cm) it really means it and the filter frame is stiff enough that, if your bracket or plenum is even one sixteenth of an inch or a millimter smaller, you can experience significant difficulty forcing the filter in. More than an 1/8" or 3mm in any dimension and you probably won't be able to make it fit at all.
