It's too bad, though, that Aprilaire didn't just make a high-efficiency drop-in replacement filter. Pros * Easy snap-together assembly via adequate instructions * Fit is exact and doesn't jam, for instance * Seems to load the blower unit about the same as before, but technically should be more permeable to air, less to dust, than the standard filter this replaces Cons * Frame could be a little sturdier, but for something that sits stationary for months at a time, this is fine Other thoughts Ordered the filter for this by accident, realized what I had done wrong, and had to order this too. I now have two filters, which of course is fine in the long run. I'm giving it a 5-star because the visible qualities are all there, but I lack the equipment to actually determine if the media truly performs per spec. It does...
