Not sure if it works, but I still use it... I use this product nearly all year long. I have asthma and a pet and wall-to-wall carpeting. I'm not sure it works, but the filter and machine are a good indicator of air quality (if cooking, it will light up red, indicating the need for the filter). Better safe than sorry, and this is rated the top filter in this price range!
