Much better filter media than the common paper type filter that is predominately used in most households.
I prefer a quality media pad or roll as opposed to the throw-away cardboard frame, paper filter, commonly used and sold everywhere. I use a reusable metal filter frame and replace the media pad on a replacement schedule. The metal frame remains stable and in position within the furnace and does not fly around and become bent while in use. Also, the media pad, due to it's depth, has the ability to trap and hold more dust and air debris giving the filter a little more service life. Overtime the media pad will save cost and provide longer service as well.

Filtration Group's media manufacturing mill has been producing spray-bonded high-loft polyester media for air filtration for more than 30 years. The OR Series is a premium multi-denier, gradient density media designed for more demanding applications. The non-migrating, heavy dry tackifier is on the orange downstream side to enhance dust retention. This media is an economical alternative to pleats and panels in systems with low air flow. Typcial uses include all common HVAC applications such as commercial buildings, public schools, universities and manufacturing operations.
