Some reviews here state that the aftermarket filter has a cardboard frame, this is simply not the case. I removed my old Kenmore-branded HEPA filter and compared it side-by-side with this one and they are exactly the same. The only thing lacking on this filter that the Kenmore-branded one had, is a sticker showing you which way to install it; the gasket goes on the side that faces the fan. By the way, if you go to the Sears website to order this, they will charge you $117 dollars for this exact same, aftermarket filter. Sears stopped making these filters; you can only get this as an aftermarket filter.
