Who knows? This Crucial filter is a few dollars less expensive than the Hunter replacements but, it is a very tight fit. The frame seems to be a little bit thicker than the originals. At least mine was. I had a hard time closing the cover and, after installing it, the unit would not turn on. I had to take the filter out and press the filter edges in a little bit to make it fit better until the unit turned on. This filter is a charcoal filter, which means it takes care of odors but, I'm not at all sure it is a HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter. There is nothing on the packaging or on the manufacturer's web site description of the product to indicate it is. Usually, manufacturers are very eager and proud to advertise their product as HEPA. Crucial doesn't say a word about it. So, if you're an allergy sufferer and need a HEPA filter, do a little more research on this product or contact the manufacturer for more information at: http://www.crucialair.com... |
