I recevied the Germ Guardian Elite as a gift and I am here to purchase another. I have two cats and a litter box that I clean daily but still, I spend too much time worrying about if the house smells like kitties. I plugged in the Guardian and gave myself 24 hours to see if I noticed a difference in the air quality where the litter box is located. This device does it's job. A day later I could truly detect the purity of the air flow and the absence of all smells really fascinated me. I've never been in an environment where the air was so clean. It is worth the money. Be aware it does make a low "white noise" sound while plugged in that I find soothing. |

I got it because I need something to kill any mold spores because I am genetically predisposed to get really sick if I come in contact with them. This device is nice because there is no filters to replace or clean. It does have the light that might need replaced after a year or so but it is really inexpensive. I was planning on getting a larger air purifier as well but wanted to check it out on a smaller scale to start with. I'm really pleased with how this is working so far. |
| Cleans Just as Effectively Upside-Down but a Little on the Loud Side Regardless of Upside-Down or Rightside-Up I wanted to use this GermGuardian in my bathroom and was at first dismayed to find that the plug that goes into the wall electrical outlet is at the bottom of the unit and would not fit under my bathroom medicine cabinet. I read through all the instructions and the website material and could not find out if it would work upside down so I had to call Guardian Technologies customer service at 1-866-603-5900 x213. My call was answered very quickly by a woman who articulately spoke English and replied that yes it works just as well upside down as right side up and that she had to put it upside down in her bathroom as well because of the medicine cabinet. GermGuardian is attractive even upside down. It provides a pretty loud white noise and is louder than my full-size air cleaners actually. It is pretty loud. I think the loudness would bother most people unless it is in a location that you don't use much like the basement or guest bathroom. It runs continuously and... |
