Very Thin Filter This brand and thinner than the original Whirlpool filter. The price is great, however the quality is not up there. We won't be buying it again.

Cheaper on Ebay. I bought this same filter for about $35 on Ebay (so go there, or maybe just directly to Crucial Vacuum website); I've had it in use for about a week, and it works great! I have nine cockatiels (known for their dustiness) so I would definitely know if it wasn't doing its job. It is essentially the same filter as Whirlpool sells, but for half the price. The only difference I noticed is that it doesn't fit quite as snuggly in my purifier as the original (see photo), but that doesn't seem to be causing any issues. The original filter that came in my Whirlpool Whispure AP450K lasted a little over a year, so we'll have to see how this one does as far as longevity goes. Will update my review when my purifier indicates it is time for a filter change.
