It is actually so loose that it won't stay in place unless I replace the cover. (The Holmes filters wedge in very securely and are actually a little hard to get out.) For the price, I'll live with it and might even buy it again, but I hope they get the dimensions better eventually.

I just replaced the prior filters and didn't realize these ... I just replaced the prior filters and didn't realize these don't have the tabs to hold them in place - for the single filter air purifiers it is ok but I have a tower unit that needs two and it may be a problem - too soon to say whether they are comparable.
