The filter does say its a Hepa Filter and I like the fact this gave a cadr rating when a lot don't. This has 3 settings. I keep it on 2. It is quite on 1 and 2 but a little noisy on 3. At night when all the lights are out there is a slight glow from the power button but nothing major. I do find I am sleeping better since I got this. I am actually considering buying another one for my living room, but I would need the bigger one (Homedics AF-100). For the bedroom the 75 is more then enough.

We keep it on low when we sleep & it's very quiet. Sometimes during the day I move it up to medium, which is a bit louder. We've never felt the need to crank it up to high. I've noticed since we started using it, I get fewer sinus headaches & my husband's snoring isn't as loud. It's small so it doesn't take up a lot of room, which is nice. I would definitely recommend this product.
