It works very well. I could feel a difference after one evening of using it on high and then turned it to medium as recommended. The high setting is a little loud, but I can't even hear it on medium. It's perfect for night time use. I have indoor allergies and once everything in the house is closed up for the winter I am a mess. This has kept me from having to go to a doctor for allergy medication which I am very happy about as I would prefer to tackle the problem at the source, not cover it up and drug myself unecessarily. I also feel the need to add that the other reviewer shouldn't give this product one star because they can't find the filter...

I was suprised to see that they still make this thing (YAY! Same filters!) and that it is about $20 cheaper now. They also seem to have improved the filters used in them (The HEPA filter part, the allergen version anyways, lasts a year of operation!), and yet somehow kept the filters at about the same price. I am buying more. UPDATE 2/19/13 - So About 3 Months later, it seems the Filter I have is, well, full. I live in a house full of smokers and I have pets, so I do understand that I am using it in rather extreme 24/7 operation, and the filter just got to the point where air flow was inhibited. I had no expectation of a year of the filter. I was surprised that it made it past month one to be honest. No star change.
