These filters were recommended by my HVAC provider as a good compromise between flow and protection from dust build up on the evaporator coil. I have purchased these very same filters locally (individually packaged) and the quality control was much better. Almost every single filter in the box was glued together/assembled poorly and created a geometry that made each filter seat or fit poorly. Admittedly, they probably work as well as filters of this type usually do, but it's a very poorly made/assembled product. This was a waste of money for me and I am disappointed in American Air Filter - based on past experience with their products I expected much better from them in the quality control department. I am now convinced that a 3M 300 or 600 filter is a better value and both have an initial pressure drop that is still well within my HVAC system's tolerance. I change filters monthly and am in a low dust loading residential environment, so final pressure drop impacting...
