I battle depression and anxiety and there's something about breathing in lavender oil (it's my favorite and sometimes I mix a little vanilla with it) that has a calming effect.. I like it all the time but I especially love it when I am going to sleep. You can turn the light off, and I usually do at night, but in the evening I will leave the light on and it's mesmerizing.
