Cheaper than Aprilaire in all ways - good and bad
This filter seems fine, but an inch or so from each end there was glue between most folds causing me to have to carefully separate the folds to break the glue (or slightly rip the filter material). Not bad enough that I'd take the time to return, but in the future I'll go back to the Aprilaire distributed filters because I've never had an issue with any of the five I've used from them.

This is the high efficiency MERV 10 filtering media, which is the heart of your air cleaner. It will last from one to two years depending on the operation of your heating and/or air conditioning system.
Great Filter & very economical
I have been using these filters for 15 years, since I replaced my furnace. I considered both the standard filter with no pleats and the electronic filter that requires cleaning with soap and water. I choose the Aprilaire and have been happy ever since. I believe it extracts more debris than the electronic unit and doesn't need changed as often as the standard non-pleated unit.

I just changed my furnace filter today after a six month heating season in upstate NY and now am ready for the six month central air cooling season.

Bottom line ... This filter is exactly the right place to be for me, so I give it a definate 5 stars.
