There were less expensive units out there but we were looking for long term reliability and service and one that REALLY cleaned the air. The Oransi looked best and it really is. Very well built, quiet running and effective. I am so pleased that we found this unit and purchased it. The shipping and delivery were as promised. They will be sending a new unit to me no charge and all I needed to show was my purchase order from Amazon to have the mailing address. Combined with the 10 year warranty and the excellent customer service I would recommend this, or any other Oransi filter. These guys rank right up at the top for customer support, which is just as important to me as the functionality of the unit. Anything from anyone can break, it's how they respond which makes the difference!
