I was expecting to use a max of 2 a year, but it seems I need to use 4. I've also found my B filters are pretty useless, ridiculously thin, allow stupid amounts of large particles through and I am using 2 layers to try to make my H filter last longer. Also the B filter replacements were about 1/2 the thickness of the original one that came with the product. This means it is costing more than double for the filters than what I expected. That may have changed my opinion on the purchase had I known. So way more replacement filter costs than I factored. I was an HVAC engineer for years and have much experience with decent filtration. At almost $20 each they are way overpriced for what they are. (Way less then a dollar total cost on these items). EDIT OK.
