I cut the filters to fit with the inner AC filter-screen. Tape down and that is it. The amount of dust, dirt and pollution it collects so that it is not re-circulated inside is amazing. I had always suspected that there was dust and pollution circulating, but I had no idea. I could actually feel a difference. Now, I change them out every summer although the instructions say every two months. This is a must have so I stock up on them to save on shipping. I think the Filtera web-site is slightly cheaper if you buy in bulk and it has a $1 shipping promiotion on orders. Upon purchasing and installing these 3M Filtrete filters in my units (I inserted them over the factory filters), the dust accumulation I used to get was dramatically diminished to where buildup on my coffee table and floor was negligible. My sneezing and eye / lung irritation also decreased to almost zero. I replace these at the beginning of each summer (each of the two included 15 x 24" sheets can be cut in half to fit my units) and I am always amazed by how dark grey and dust-coated these things are after 2-3 months of use. Awesome and worth every penny. I hope that 3M never stops manufacturing this great product.
