My gauges are metal with screw-on faces; also the handles are colored plastic - but they seem tough enough. On mine the gauge faces don't have a scale for R134a, just R12/22/502. I have only used them a few times but they seemed to work quite well. No issues with leaking or holding pressure/vacuum. Received 5-foot hoses with nylon as shown. Not shown in the picture (maybe there but can't be seen at the one angle shown), but present on mine, are nipples on the back for securely hanging the hoses when not in use. Although it worked fine a couple of times, I did have issues snapping the high-side port connector on the last time I tried. I was just filling a vacuumed system with a known quantity of R134a so it wasn't a big deal. It was most likely user error - when I looked later the collar was snapped down. Were I to use these frequently I'd probably invest in a new high-side adapter with a screw valve. Overall it was a fantastic...

I had to fine tune (adjust) the low side gauge Fast shipping, and works as it should. I had to fine tune (adjust) the low side gauge,but I'm at 4000 ft, and it was shipped from around sea level, so I guess that's normal. Would have been nice to know where it was shipped from, and by what carrier, but otherwise, I am very satisfied.
