Huge difference the quality of life of my 85 yr old COPD suffering dad
My dad is 85 and has COPD (lung disease) and has been in and out of hospital lately.
He easily catches chest infections and these can be very dangerous.
He also is asthmatic and suffers from allergies which can set off his coughing which is very bad and persistent.
Dust, fumes, pollen, particles, hair etc all contribute towards hurting him, making his cough worse and can lead to breathing difficulties and a horrible quality of life and infection.
Since taking Nebulisers and other medication his mouth is always dry at night and he cannot sleep due to many reasons including this.

For some reason we all completely overlooked Air Purifiers, and decided to buy this one to see if it makes any difference. We didn't spend little as the cheaper units have poor reviews and we needed the unit to filter out particles as small as 0.3 Microns or whatever the unit is. We needed a HEPA and CARBON filter for the multi particles which need to be filtered.

The DeLonghi AC150 Energy Star Air Purifier with Ionizer incorporates the latest technological features for quiet, home air filtration and is suitable for rooms up to 150 square feet. It has five layers of air filtration including the pre-filter, HEPA filter, active carbon filter, photo catalytic filter with UVC lamp and ionizer with on/off function cleaning the air and removing impurities down to a size of 0.3 microns including dust, pollen, cigarette smoke and car exhaust fumes. DeLonghi's AQS air quality system uses a unique lighted sensor system to give you visible feedback on the room's air quality (orange for bad, green for satisfactory and blue for good) adjusting the fan speed as the room's air quality changes. Convenience features include a sensor touch LED control panel, timer (1, 3, 4 or 8 hours) and filter indicator.
De longhi AC 150
This is a good unit for clearing micro particles out of indoor room air, but,it has some drawbacks you will want to weigh for yourself before you buy or not buy.
For the price the square footage of air filtered is substandard compared to any manufacturers Hepa filter in this price range. This unit only works for small bedroom, or bedroom sized room. 150 sq ft. Unit,is small as are its filters so it's not going to clear a lot of pollutants.
For what it does it does well. I have other filters that do a better job for the same or less money. Have several Winix units that I have reviewed, along with Vornado and Honeywell round high volume (high noise) filters that work for tons of allergens, smoke, and pet danders, that would be a better choice I think.
Now you must decide if this will work for your room, and does it represent a good value.
