The filters fit exactly the same as the Blueair HEPA filters. I read something about them not having a seal, but the filters that came from Blueair didn't have any seal around them. According to the manufacturer, they meet HEPA filter specifications. They have the same amount of pleats and weigh the same as the Blueair HEPA filters and I have no reason to doubt their word. There is about the same amount of odor from these filters as I have experienced when first using other carbon filters. It is minimal and goes away in a few days. These are not Smokestop filters and the small amount of carbon is just a pre-filter, but they do not claim to be Smokestop filters. If Smokestop is what you want, I believe that Blueair is the only source. However if you want HEPA filters at a good price as replacements after your Blueair warranty has expired, these fit the bill perfectly.

The carbon filter layer is much more porous than the original Blue Air filters, and emits a noticeably funny smell soon after install. I also have no idea if the filter itself will achieve the HEPA performance of the original filters. Will update with more info after more usage. The product listing is also misleading - and is probably why my wife bought it, thinking that she found Blueair Filters for dirt cheap.
